H∞ control for fast sampling discrete-time singularly perturbed systems

چکیده
This paper is concerned with the H∞ control problem via state feedback for fast sampling discrete-time singularly perturbed systems. A new H∞ controller design method is given in terms of solutions to linear matrix inequalities (LMIs), which eliminates the regularity restrictions attached to the Riccati-based solution. A method for evaluating the upper bound of singular perturbation parameter with meeting a prescribed H∞ performance bound requirement is also given. Furthermore, the results are extended to robust controller design for fast sampling discrete-time singularly perturbed systems with polytopic uncertainties. Numerical examples are given to illustrate the validity of the proposed methods. c © 2008 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.

Model Predictive Control of Nonlinear Singularly Perturbed Systems: Application to a Large-Scale Process Network
This work focuses on model predictive control of nonlinear singularly perturbed systems. A composite control system using multirate sampling (i.e., fast sampling of the fast state variables and slow sampling of the slow state variables) and consisting of a “fast” feedback controller that stabilizes the fast dynamics and a model predictive controller that stabilizes the slow dynamics and enforce...
متن کاملDigital multirate control for a class of non-linear singularly perturbed systems
This paper deals with the digital control of a particular class of non-linear singularly perturbed (NLSP) systems. Three distinct multi-rate composite control strategies are discussed. In the ® rst case, it is assumed that measurements of the slow and fast variables are scheduled at the same fast sampling period nd . Then, multi-rate measurements are considered and two di erent strategies are ...
متن کاملControl Design for Uncertain Singularly Perturbed Systems with Discrete Time Delay
The problem of state-feedback control design for a class of singularly perturbed systems with time delays and norm-bounded nonlinear uncertainties is studied in this paper. The system under consideration considers discrete delays in both slow and fast dynamics and norm-bounded nonlinear uncertainties. It is shown that the control gains are obtained to guarantee the stability of the closed-loop ...
متن کاملH∞ Control for a Class of Singularly Perturbed Nonlinear Systems via Successive Galerkin Approximation
Abstract: This paper presents a new algorithm for the closed-loop H∞ control of a class of singularly perturbed nonlinear systems with an exogenous disturbance, using the successive Galerkin approximation (SGA). The singularly perturbed nonlinear system is decomposed into two subsystems of a slow-time scale and a fast-time scale in the spirit of the general theory of singular perturbation. Two ...
متن کاملFuzzy H-infinity Output Feedback Control Design for Singularly Perturbed Systems: An LMI Approach
This paper examines the problem of designing an H∞ output feedback controller for a class of nonlinear singularly perturbed systems described by a TakagiSugeno (TS) fuzzy model. Based on a linear matrix inequality (LMI) approach, we develop an H∞ output feedback controller which guarantees the L2-gain of the mapping from the exogenous input noise to the regulated output to be less than some pre...
